Dunn Architects designs bespoke, top end residential property and commercial developments that are contemporary and sustainable.  The context, topography and ecology of a site is at the heart of the design approach.  The social and environmental brief forms part of the creative process.

The diversity of projects ranges from rural to urban locations in the UK and overseas. The scale and type of projects cover a wide range of sectors in the private and public domain including healthcare, education, hotels and restaurants.

Jonathan Dunn
Director

Jonathan started his career working for Zaha Hadid on international competitions including the winning design for the Peak Competition in Hong Kong. His work from this period has been published and his drawings and paintings exhibited at the MOMA New York. Jonathan formed his own practice in London in 1984, designing commercial and residential schemes for international clients including The Taj Hotel Group Bombay and The Millennium Group. He has acted for many high-profile clients in the media industry as well as large estates and private resort development and many conservation projects. He currently works on private residential schemes and the redevelopment of existing urban sites in rural England and Central London as well as international projects in the Gulf, Malaysia and China. Jonathan is CEO of Dunn Architects.

Thomas Dunn
Director

Before joining the practice in 2011, Tom spent 5 years at Wilkinson Eyre working on projects including Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, The National Waterfront Museum in Swansea and The Venice Biennale. He then spent 2 years at Consarc working on The iCon in Daventry and an eco-tourism masterplan in North Africa. Tom believes that understanding the history, context, topography and ecology of a site is at the root of good design and that this is key to creating contemporary elegant buildings. Tom is passionate about sustainable architecture, seeking to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings by efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy and development space as well as the ecosystem at large. Tom is Design Director for Dunn Architects, manages the London office and is responsible for the practice’s large masterplan and development project in Dubai.

Cordelia Tasker
Associate

Cordelia has extensive experience working in large corporate environments on a diverse range of large-scale global projects. She worked at TFP Farrells Hong Kong on projects including SD/EPD stage design of a 58,000m2 mixed use masterplan in Shenzhen, China. Previously Cordelia was at Wilkinson Eyre Asia Pacific, also in Hong Kong working on projects including a mixed-use masterplan bid and live project in Toronto, Canada and a mixed use masterplan in Bejing, China for the Sino Railway Company. Cordelia’s specialisms include mixed use master planning, infrastructure and destination sectors and 2d and 3d digital design. She is working on the Mirdif Hills Masterplan, South Village and North Village developments in Dubai.

Michael Petch
Associate

Michael previously worked at Bell Associates working on Dumbarton Shopping Centre and Barclays Bank projects. Since joining Dunn Architects he has worked on high-end residential projects including a series of mews houses in London and a large extension to an Edwardian house in East Sussex including indoor swimming pool, spa, gym, changing rooms, wine cellar, media room and office. Michael is heading up a modular/pre-fabricated Art Deco development in North London. His specialist skills include planning consent on development projects and brownfield sites, sustainable and economic design and project planning and management.

Chris Kyriakides
Associate

Chris studied at Bath University and then worked as an architectural assistant in Athens and Cyprus where he focused on high-end residential developments and educational projects. He returned to the UK to study at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow. After a spell at Foster & Partners in London he joined Dunn Architects in 2015 and has worked on a number of projects including the Dubai Masterplan, Hamilton and Frognal Court Developments and is now leading a number of private and commercial residential developments in London. His interests include emerging technologies, architectural expression, conceptual sketching and model making.
